FAQ
Are any contrindications for Thai Yoga Massage?
Yes. Thai massage is not recommended in case of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, severe pain, any broken bones, artificial joints, or soon after surgeries.
Do I need to be undressed for Thai Yoga Massage.
No. You need to wear comfortable clothes (cotton skirt and long cotton pants). The massage is done on the floor, on the special Thai Yoga Mat.
Why Thai Massage can be painful?
Thai Massage includes stretching, pressing and working through body meridians and accupressure points. When the energy channels are blocked, the pressure on these channels can be very painful, but it has positive effect afterworlds (it helps to remove obstructions from the channels). Pressing on the muscle tissues removes fibrotic tissue from the muscles and elevates toxins.
Can Thai massage help in case of sciatic pain or headache?
Yes. Any pain is created by obstruction of the flow of Wind in the meridians. Pressing on the accupressure points and stretching the energy meridians releases the obstruction and pain disappears.
How often should I do Thai Massage?
The effect of Thai Massage lasts for a week or two. Twice a month would be my recommendation. In the beginning, when it is necessary to destroy the accumulation of fibrotic tissues and toxins in the muscle 10 sessions of Thai Massage performed every other day is highly recommended.
Is Thai Massage more efficient then other types of massage?
In some way, yes. It is more intense and effects not only muscles, but also bones, joints, and connective tissues. No other kind of massage provides such effective stretching as Thai Massage. It will rapidly increase your flexibility, strength and stamina.
Thai Massage can efficiently be combined with other forms of massage-like performing deep tissue massage after Thai Yoga Massage session.

Although, there are many schools of Thai Massage all over the world where you can get training.
